THE DESIGN ROUTE

"Design is the creative part of inspiration"

—NSB, Creative Director

At SANTININA we are proud to be able to share pieces of our soul outlined in each design and materialized in each jewel.

All this is possible thanks to the wonderful team we have to materialize each design, taking care of each stage of the production process in detail and following strict quality controls.

The manufacturing of our jewelry combines elaborate and meticulous artisanal and manual work with the latest technologies.

From the beginning we have wanted SANTININA to go hand in hand with transparency . For us it is vital to be able to clearly reflect everything that constitutes our brand, including, as we have designated, The SANTININA Design Route .

The SANTININA Design Route has been more than a route, as it has involved effort, dedication, perseverance and of course, having had the support of Rafael Jimenez, CEO of JJBRAVO. From the beginning he knew how to perfectly focus my designs to materialize them and turn what was an idea into a dream come true. I also want to dedicate my thanks to the entire JJBRAVO team who have worked with care and affection on each of the SANTININA jewels.

At SANTININA we are very committed to being able to bring you closer to each stage of the production process that each of our jewels on the SANTININA Design Route has gone through.

Wax modeling : A model of the desired piece is created in wax. This model can be made by hand or using modern techniques, such as 3D printing.

Tree assembly : Several pieces of wax, which may represent multiple copies of the same piece or several different pieces, are attached to a central tree to form a set.

Ceramic coating : The wax tree is immersed in a ceramic mixture and covered with sand particles or ceramic powder in successive layers. This creates a ceramic layer around the assembly.

Wax Removal : The coated assembly is heated to melt and remove the wax, leaving a hollow mold in the shape of the desired part.

Firing : The ceramic mold is fired at high temperatures to harden it and remove any wax residue.

Casting : The mold is placed in an oven and molten metal is poured into the space left by the lost wax. The metal cools and solidifies, taking the shape of the original piece.

Breaking the mold : After the metal cools and solidifies, the ceramic mold is broken to reveal the final metal piece.
This process is prized for its ability to reproduce fine details and create complex shapes, making it especially useful in making jewelry and art pieces.

Once the metal pieces are obtained, a manual process is carried out to review the details of the piece and then a metal hardening process is carried out.

Polishing and plating : There are several polishing stages that each of our pieces go through, from the mechanical polishing and electropolishing processes to finishing with a polishing with a chamois cloth by hand. Subsequently, the piece goes to the galvanized bath phase to give it a homogeneous and shiny color. All our 925 silver jewelry is plated in 18-karat gold and 2 microns thick.

Quality control : After all processes, the pieces undergo a strict visual quality inspection in case there are any manufacturing defects. Subsequently, each piece is placed in a perfectly sealed bag to protect it during storage.
